The increasing focus on the target group of young skiers in Alpine winter sports in the past years has given momentum for the rapid development in the design and implementation of kid's playgrounds and fun parks. Modern ski areas have recognized this potential and by now, such an offering has become an indispensable component of the portfolio of every destination.

The SunKid Fun Box as a supplement in the ski school program

SunKid has taken these developments as an opportunity to design the SunKid FunBox in close cooperation with ski schools and mountain railways. For the schooling program, it offers a suitable and attractive enhancement and as such allows the ski trainer to organize a more versatile lesson. The box is used as a teaching aide to train balance when riding skis or a snowboard. The (young) winter sports enthusiasts ride on the SunKid FunBox lengthwise in both cases at a speed adequate to their age.

The SunKid Fun Box is fully moveable and is anchored to the ground using eight sturdy snow spears. The corpus is made from galvanized sheet metal and is furnished with a sliding pad made of polyethylene (PE). Therefore, it will not only stand up to the tough requirements of the numerous (kids‘) ski groups, but moreover defy unfazed the changing weather conditions during a long winter season.

The SunKid FunBox comes in four designs

: FLAT BOX: Cube-shaped, dimensions 400 x 60 x 30cm with PE sliding surface. ©SunKid

: UP&DOWN BOX: dimensions identical to those of the FLAT BOX, but the PE sliding surface has a gable form. ©SunKid

: RAINBOW_BOX: dimensions identical to those of the FLAT BOX, but the PE sliding surface stretches over the corpus in an arch-shaped manner. ©SunKid

: PLATE: the PE sliding surface is anchored directly to the snow surface without the corpus underneath. ©SunKid
