Tubing fun even during the warm season!
Searching for new and creative ideas to improve their summer activities, numerous vacation destinations have chosen SunKid Summer Tubing. In the Italian town of Pantigliate near Milan, SunKid installed an extraordinary summer tubing facility in cooperation with its partner Neveplast. Approx. 1,000 m2 of plastic track for use with snow tubes were placed on a ramp. A SunKid Wonder Carpet is available to the users for a fast and comfortable ascent. Since the first days of summer, the guests have been enjoying tubing fun to the utmost, even during the warm season!

On the ramp – get set – go!
The outdoor pool of Pantigliate offers its visitors numerous attractions, such as wave pools and various slides for old and young. Constantly searching for innovations and good ideas for further development, the pool operators contacted SunKid. A special summer tubing solution was planned for the pool in cooperation with its Italian partner Neveplast.

Approx. 1,000 m2 of Neveplast plastic track and related runout area were laid on a 55 m long and 12 m wide ramp. The snow tubes utilized have a hard plastic bottom and therefore offer optimum gliding characteristics. Seven tubing lanes that are separated from one another by plastic barriers ensure sufficient capacity. The runout area is generously proportioned, with additional braking strips slowing the tubes.
The Wonder Carpet as lift equipment
To offer guests the best possible service, the pool operators in Pantigliate installed a 51 m SunKid Wonder Carpet. This makes it easier for visitors to reach the top and ensures the greatest possible enjoyment.

Due to the enormous increase in year-round use of the Wonder Carpet, SunKid has developed special adaptations for summer use. One of these adaptations is the specially developed “SunKid-SuperSlide” wear layer, which is installed between the conveyor belt and the gliding surface. This layer reduces friction due to dirt and dust, which gets into the conveyor belt more during summer usage, and thus increases the useful life of the conveyor belt.
Initial experiences with the new summer tubing facility in Pantigliate have been very positive. The pool operators are pleased with the number of visitors and smooth operation. The cooperation partners SunKid and Neveplast were thus able to create a new showcase project to increase the attractiveness of summer activities.
