Grünberg Lifts in Obsteig created their new children's facilities with support from SunKid.
SunKid lives out its philosophy: "Winter in the Town"!
For 13 years and running, SunKid has supported projects small and large, with big contributions. Loyal to the intentions of company owner Max Bruckschlögl, SunKid pursues the goal of bringing winter sports as close to the people as possible. From this striving came the company's philosophy: "Winter in the Town!" An example of this guiding principle in action today is the newly built SunKid children's facilities from Grünberg Lifts in Obsteig.

The small ski area in Obsteig, with approx. 10 kilometres of slopes, offers a family-friendly alternative with a good price/benefit ratio. To further underscore this advantage, the Grünberg Lifts invested, in cooperation with the Mieminger Plateau & Fernpass-Seen Tourism Association, in the construction of a new children's facility.
SunKid Wonder Carpets and figures make up the main attractions.
Two new SunKid Wonder Carpet conveyors are the centre of the new children's facilities. Those who find themselves in skis for the first time can start out on the 21m-long Wonder Carpet. The inclination, at 10%, is the ideal starting slope for first descents. Children who have already made some progress can switch to the 57m-long Wonder Carpet. This conveyor is powered by a 7.5kW motor, giving the SunKid Wonder Carpet a capacity of 1400 skiers or 2000 pedestrians per hour. The third station - a cable lift - waits up above the conveyors to take children all the way to the top of the children's facilities.

To add colour and fun to the new children's ski area, numerous unique figures and ski school aides were selected from the new SunKid Sunny Stuff programme. The most notable features are the 2.3m fibreglass snowman and a par course with wild animal figures.
Not only are the locals thrilled about the arrangement of the children's area, but guests are also enthusiastic about the innovations from Grünberg Lifts. The wonderful arrangement of the facilities is just as popular as the surrounding infrastructure. A centrally-located lodge serves both as a monitoring station for the children's facilities and as a punch bar for kids in the ski school. Just below the new children's area, there is a large sun terrace where parents and grandparents can follow the progress of the little ones. The nearby restaurant is also waiting with delicious treats to make sure everyone has enough energy for ski class.

In the future, Grünberg Lifts in Obsteig plans to concentrate especially on children and families of locals and guests. The Grünberg Lifts offer the ideal facilities for children and beginners, which is why the installations on the Mieminger Plateau are so important to the local population.
With projects like this one in Obsteig, it is possible to bring the joy of winter sports as close as possible to guests, and above all, to local inhabitants. "Winter in the Town" - the SunKid company philosophy, is more alive today than ever before!
